You would be glad to know that IBM India is coming to Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Gharuan Campus on 20th OCT 2010 to recruit MBAs (2009 - 2010 pass out) with 1 year work experience (this experience can also be prior to joining the MBA).

 

This event is only  for meritorious students only, because IBM wants to interview only 200 candidates from the entire region.

Brand Sales Specialist

 

Role Responsibilities of BSS

·         Work as a lead member in a customer engagement involving STG product sales

·         Understand the client business including existing pain points and create winning solutions to address the requirements.

·         The Brand Sales Specialist needs to ensure product and solution relevance to clients requirement both technically and commercially.

·         Needs to be articulate /communicate the IBM value proposition advantage Vs competition. 

·         Work closely with the account team to leverage relationship

·         Leverage the technical pre sales team in developing the solution including Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), trainings, product demos benchmarks etc.

·         In many instances work collaboratively with the  Business Partner organizations as IBM’s extended sales force

·         Play the role of a technology consultant to clients; build and manage trust-based, long-term relationships with customer’s organization on all levels

 

Role Requirements for BSS

·         Understand the products including vs competition - be passionate about the products 

·         Possess excellent written/verbal communications skills

·         Excellent communication & presentation skills with ability to lead & manage discussions

·         Demonstrate strong  networking, persuading and influencing skills

·         Be a self-driven individual with the go-getter attitude

·         Fast, self-learner who stays abreast on the latest in technology, competition and the industry landscape

·         Well organized and drive a sense of urgency

·         Clear understanding of the Sales process - in particular the IBM Sales process

 

      Educational background

·         MBA or Ex MBA with a minimum 1 year experience is sales (pre MBA ) or in IT Technical

 

 

 

 

Field Technical Sales Specialists

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Work as a contributing member in the customer engagement team and provide technical assistance in strongly positioning IBM products/solutions to help win the business
  • Understand client business, the technical environment including existing pain points and create winning solutions to address the requirements
  • Treat & assist Business Partner organizations as IBM’s sales force and work for joint success
  • This Specialist assures a solution's relevance to clients requirements, ensures technical feasibility, drives implementation planning and ensures successful deployment
  • Engage and deliver Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), trainings & product demos. Where required, co-ordinate benchmarks, customer workshops etc.
  • Work with various stakeholders within & outside of IBM/STG, to ensure successful, ongoing business relations with client
  • Play the role of a technology consultant to clients; build and manage trust-based, long-term relationships with customer’s organization on all levels
  • Position IBM as a preferred, total IT solutions and services partner

Role Requirements

  • Develop solid, deep technical skills, including hands-on, on the STG products
  • Work on becoming a subject-matter expert in a chosen domain; be it servers, storage, systems software etc.
  • Possess excellent written/verbal communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with ability to lead & manage discussions
  • Strong networking, communicating, persuading and influencing skills
  • Be a self-driven individual with the go-getter attitude
  • Fast, self-learner who is abreast on the latest in technology, competition and the industry landscape
  • Be well-organized and to able to work with a sense of urgency

 

Educational background the preference would be as follows:

  • Computer studies in curriculum would help (including Engg, MCA)
